“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” Henri Mattisse

“When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.”

“This yoga encourages independence, it encourages self-reliance, it encourages a particular type of dedication and willpower to be able to figure out how to make it work on your own, once you’ve learned the basics.”

When a warrior learns to stop the internal dialogue, everything becomes possible; the most far-fetched schemes become attainable.

Yoga at the Eight Treasures Norway, Oslo

Yoga at the Eight Treasures (www.8treasuresyoga.com)

I was recently teaching  a number of workshops  at Eight Treasures Yoga in Oslo. I met with a remarkable community of awesome yogi’s.

EightTreasures yoga is a special studio, its  growing community of yogi’s offer all the classes and workshops by donation, how great and awesome is that.

I enjoyed teaching at their humble and exciting studio for 3 days. So much so, I decided to capture their awesomeness with my camera.

We spent a day walking around Oslo visiting  the opera house, vigeland Sculpture Park, riding the subway and doing yoga all along the way.

Below are the results from that truly beautiful day blessed with fine weather.

If you visit Oslo, take a class and study yoga at the Eight Treasures.

Create beautiful karma, Eight Treasures yoga.

Creativity is courage

So it dawned upon me how important it is to be a creative. Because it means you have within you infinite capacity to experiment. You are unafraid to go somewhere new because you are creating a new thought process about your own creativity. You know that if you stop and no longer challenge yourself, you cease to be creative.

You become still, silent, and the bow no longer connect with the strings and music is not made. And you do not exist. You show you do not have the courage to exist. Creativity is courage. The world needs more fearless people that can influence all disciplines to challenge their very existence. Creativity is reflection aimed not at yourself, but at the world around you.

The Night Time 2

The City At Night

The city is very beautiful at night.
To see the shimmering lights
In the buildings around,
Beacons to the minds eye.
The cars slide through the dark
And then disappear again
Into the dark corners of the nights.
The people weave in and out
Of the fabric of the night air,
Appearing briefly as a
Silhouetted puppets in the night sky.
The city is always very beautiful at night.
